Atten2 takes part in the OPTIMAR project to optimize the operation and maintenance of offshore wind farms

Atten2 is actively collaborating in the OPTIMAR project, a research and development initiative that brings together technology companies and research organizations to develop advanced digital solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency, maintenance, and energy integration in floating offshore wind farms.

The OPTIMAR project aims to enhance the availability of offshore assets and optimize the Annual Energy Production (AEP) through the implementation of non-invasive monitoring technologies, predictive failure algorithms, and secure data spaces supported by artificial intelligence (AI) in a cybersecurity-focused environment.

As a developer of real-time lubricant monitoring solutions, Atten2 contributes to the development of sensors by integrating its expertise in particle analysis to help predict mechanical failures in critical components of offshore wind turbines.

OPTIMAR addresses the current technological challenges of offshore wind energy, such as limited access to assets for maintenance under harsh maritime conditions, by proposing a data-driven operation and maintenance strategy based on advanced sensing technologies (acoustics, LiDAR, computer vision, temperature, and vibration) and predictive algorithms.

Among its main objectives, the project includes:

• Researching and designing intelligent, non-invasive monitoring solutions and advanced algorithms.
• Studying correlations between operational variables obtained through non-invasive monitoring to digitalize and optimize O&M, production, and the lifecycle of offshore assets.
• Developing predictive failure algorithms and maintenance strategies for key subsystems such as floaters, blades, and turbines.
• Creating secure data spaces with active management through AI and distributed ledger technologies.

With this project, Atten2 strengthens its commitment to technological innovation in renewable energy, contributing to a more efficient, secure, and sustainable energy future.
